I started this journey in February 2021, inspired by my hometown of Charlestown, Indiana. I named the company after its founding year, 1808, because I wanted a vintage, meaningful name that my community could connect with and feel a sense of pride in. What began as a passion for creating something special has grown into a small business that shares joy, light, and connection with others.

Today, I make every candle from my home, offering local porch pickup, shipping options, and attending markets to bring my candles directly to you. Every detail—from the fragrance blends to the clean burn of our wax—is chosen with intention, because I want you to feel at home the moment you light one.
